Part 3 of Jess's Story

Hi guys! I'm posting today because I was gone yesterday. Hope you enjoy! :)

I looked into the faces of my four cousins. None of them said a word and only stared stonily back at me. The oldest, Samantha, had her hands on her hips and Analisa had her arms crossed. They both looked very intimidating. Georgia, the youngest, stood stiffly and looked uncomfortable. I'd never seen a seven-year-old behave so strangely. Out of all of them, Nancy looked the safest, with her compassionate, brown eyes and shy demeanor. She even gave me a small smile. But then, Aunt Margaret's voice rang out, startling me.
"Girls, this is your cousin, Clementine. She will be living with us until further notice. I expect you to welcome her, encourage her, and speak kindly towards her. Analisa, you're in charge of showing Clementine her room. Georgia, you can help with her bag. Nancy, you're coming with me. We're going shopping for Clementine. And Samantha, you're in charge. You are dismissed!"
And with that, Aunt Margaret disappeared out the door with Nancy at her heels. How wonderful.
"Well, you heard her. Get a move on!" Samantha barked.
Analisa immediately set to work, asking me to follow her. Georgia hurried to catch up.
"Your bag, cousin?" she asked, sticking out her hand.
"No, thank you," I replied. "I can manage on bag myself."
"But, but I must, cousin," Georgia stammered. "Or else I'll get into trouble!"
Her big, blue eyes stared pleadingly up at me. Perplexed, I reluctantly handed her my bag. Much relieved, she trotted after Analisa, me trailing behind. What an odd group of people.
We passed by many grand rooms. A kitchen, parlor, dining room, and sitting room were just to name a few. We then began climbing stairs up to the second level. Portraits of the family adorned the walls. I wondered if I would ever get the priveledge to be up there with them.
At the top of the stairs, I was met with five doors. These must be the bedrooms. But we didn't stop there. We kept climbing and I wondered what the next level would bring. This time there were two doors.
"This is the attic," Analisa explained, pointing to the nearest door. "And this is your room."
She opened the door and I was not prepared for what I saw. . . .
